The Boston Celtics recently celebrated winning the NBA Championship. During game two of their series victory against the Lakers, one of their lesser-known players, Leon Powe, received attention not only for his play on the court but also for a feature on his life story during halftime.

As you can see in the video below, Powe overcame homelessness and hunger to make a career out of basketball and is now using the opportunity to help motivate inner-city school kids to make positive decisions.

Powe picked a good night to have the best game of his career: in the same game this feature aired at halftime, Powe dazzled viewers with a powerful 21 point performance in just 14 minutes of playing time. After seeing this video, I'm sure many feel the same way Powe's coach Doc Rivers feels, "it's hard not to root for the guy."
